Better Man

We’ve all felt forgotten by God.
We’ve all gone through a time where it seemed He wasn’t there.

We pray and fast and believe, and nothing happens.
We trust Him to make things better, and everything falls apart.
We believe for a physical healing, only to get sicker.
We give of our time and money and energy, and go deeper into debt.
We trust Him with our lives, and face hardship after hardship.
We pray for that new job, future spouse or future kids, and see everyone else blessed in that way but us.

God gave us a promise, said He would bless us, told us that the hardship would come to an end soon and then…nothing.

It seems as if He has forgotten us.

Embracing Change →

Change is a part of our every day lives.

We change schools.
We change jobs.
We change our minds.
We change our views on life and ourselves.
We change where we live, where we shop and what we eat.
We change friendships, relationships and love.
We change our routines, our habits and our thoughts.

Change is inevitable.
It’s part of what it means to be alive.

Most change we accept.

We love getting the new job.
We are excited over the new house.
We don’t mind becoming 16, 18, 21.
We get giddy over the new opportunities, new friendships, new vehicles and possessions.

But some change, the kind of change that goes against our desires, pushes us in areas we don’t want to be pushed, and puts us in positions we don’t want to be in, we tend to fight against that kind of change.
